Why I am qualified to teach Electronics |
I am a practicing electrical engineer. I have worked in the field of electronics since 2001 in a variety of capacities ranging from technician to engineer. I have worked for local companies and even spent last summer in an internship with Qualcomm as an RF Engineer designing radio modules for cellular phones. |
Prerequisites for this Activity |
Preparation will be key for success in this merit badge.
I will be instructing the course for the electronics merit badge at the annual LDS merit badge clinic held by the Occoneechee Council in November 2013.
If you plan to complete the requirements for this merit badge during the weekend clinic, please take the following steps: - Review all requirements listed in the electronics merit badge pamphlet http://meritbadge.org/wiki/index.php/Electronics
- Focus most of your preparation on requirements #4 and #6.
- I will be bring supplies to do requirement #4(B) at the clinic. If you wish to choose (A) or (C), you will need to research and bring supplies for these circuits.
- Finally, be prepared to discuss requirement #6. I will cover career opportunities in the field of electronics, but you will gain much more from our time if you come with relevant questions.
