Operating since 2009, OCDDivers is a home-based SCUBA training center operated in Colleyville, Texas, serving North Texas students. For classroom and pool work, we have a 25,000 gallon heated outdoor saltwater pool with a dedicated classroom and restroom. We use high-end weight-integrated BCDs, regulators, and computer integrated consoles. Most Open Water Dives are conducted at The Scuba Ranch in Terrell, Texas, which is easily accessible and has full amenities.
Our students can try-out SCUBA in the pool, get certified to dive, continue advanced education, or rEactivate skills if it has been a while. We are obsessed, you might even say OCD, about ensuring our students know what is expected, what everything costs, how it works, and when and where to be. Classes are taught with patience and precision. We are prepared so you can be prepared for lifelong diving!
Whether your unit is getting ready for a trip to Sea Base or just wanting to get certified in North Texas, we know scouting and can help your Troop, Crew, or Ship to expand your program to the rest of the great outdoors, the part that's underwater! Besides teaching Scuba diving, Dr. DeClerk is a Troop Scoutmaster, Wood Badge Trained, Certified in Wilderness First Aid, a Leave No Trace Trainer, a member of the Order of the Arrow, and a Merit Badge Counselor for the Longhorn Council's Mustang District.
Pre-work: Complete independent study by reading a book and watching videos. It takes about 10 hours to prepare.
Weekend 1: Friday night classroom and pool work, Saturday and Sunday nights pool work
Weekend 2: Saturday and Sunday afternoons at The Scuba Ranch in Terrell Texas.
