We can take up an old road and lay down a new highway in its place. Our custom fleet of dump trucks provides the fastest and most reliable hauling to any location. We also have our own on-site repair facility to maintain and keep our equipment where it needs to be -- on your job.

Our History
E.V. Williams Inc. is a full-service Prime Contractor in the Hampton Roads/Tidewater area of Virginia with virtually unlimited bonding capacity. As a member of The Branch Group Inc. family of companies, our resource base of a $250 million a year company coupled with local Tidewater management brings your project "On Schedule, Within Budget" capabilities while dealing with people that have local knowledge and the service of a home town contractor.
Founded by Elmer Virginius "Ginny" Williams, on Jan. 1, 1941, as a small local grading contractor, the company has become a major force in the road building and site construction industry of eastern Virginia.
On Feb. 1, 1997, E.V. Williams, Inc. was purchased by Branch Highways, Inc. and became a wholly owned subsidiary of The Branch Group Inc. of Roanoke, Va.
The Branch Group is a 100% employee-owned company founded as Branch & Associates Inc. by Billy H. Branch in 1963. The Branch Group Inc. has been listed as one of Engineering News Records Top 400 Contractors in the U.S. for the past 9 years, ranking 127 during 1997. Branch Highways Inc. was ranked the Number 1 Virginia Department of Transportation highway contractor by Virginia Magazine, based on dollar volume of work performed in 1996, 1997 and 1998. E.V. Williams, Inc. was ranked Number 3 in Virginia in 1998.
