Adults must enter their BSA Number, DOB, First and Last name as it appears on their BSA ID card. We will query BSA and get back an answer. At this point one of three things can happen:
1) Your registration is verified - you can continue using Meritbadge.info normally
2) You are not registered or your registration has lapsed - your prior rights are revoked and you get the read-only screens that you see before your login
3) You are registered but your YPT has expired - your prior rights are revoked and you get the read-only screens that you see before your login
You have had at least two months to get yourself registered and complete YPT training. If you feel your validation is not working, send us an email with the four data items listed and we will validate your entry.
We have no control over what is on file at BSA. If everything matches your BSA ID card, there should be no issues. If not, your validation will fail.
Why are we doing this?
1. To provide higher security and validation of all adult users.
2. To clean up the mess we've accumulated via 15 years of poor user data entry.

Login to https://my.scouting.org/ and copy your BSA ID Number then update your profile on Meritbadge.info. Let others in your unit know they should do the same. We are giving you 2.5 months advanced notice to make this work.

Description |
REGISTRATION: Registration is online. By registering online, your Scout will be guaranteed a seat.
Uniform: Class A uniform is the official uniform for the day. The Merit Badge sash may also be worn. (optional)
Code of Conduct: The Scout Oath, the Law, and the Outdoor Code shall be the code of the Merit Badge Day. A Scout whose conduct is not consistent with the code will be directed to their Scoutmaster. Discipline is the responsibility of the Scoutmaster or other assigned leaders in charge of the troop.
Transportation: Troops may not leave Scouts by themselves to be picked up by parents at a later time. We will not render sitting services.
Clean Up: A Scout is clean. Scouts will clean the premises and keep the classrooms in the same condition as found. All garbage must be properly disposed into designated containers. |

Blue Cards / Merit Badge Books: All Scouts must bring to class the following:

Pre-requisites should be completed prior to the Clinic. Should the pre-requisites not be completed, the Scout would receive a partial Blue Card. The Scout will still have the opportunity to complete their Merit Badge by getting with their Scoutmaster in their home town.
The Blue Card will be updated with tasks completed in class and returned to the Scout BEFORE they depart the classroom. It is the responsibility of the Scout to request and obtain his Blue Card.

Following are the instructions for registrating online:
- You must have a login for this site to begin. If you do not have one initially, one will need to be created.
- Sign in using your email address and password.
- To begin registration, at least one Unit Leader must register in the online system. It is very important that the correct Council, District, and Unit are specified. Please note that there are errors in the meritbadge.info system. If you do not select the correct Council and / or District, your unit information may not be displayed properly or your registration may not process properly. Proof-read everything before you submit.
- Have all leaders that will be attending with your Troop register in a similar manner.
- Click the SignUp next to the Merit Badge Clinic at Rockdale Career Academy, or scroll to the bottom of this page and look for the link at the bottom left corner.
- Click the Select link next to the names of all attending leaders. At least one attending leader must be selectd, or the system will not allow you to register any Scouts for your unit.
- For each Scout attending, enter their name, age, contain email and phone, and selected class. The system will only allow a class to be selected that still has seats remaining. Remember, in the spirit of BSA Youth Protection guidelines, please provide an email address and / or telephone number for the Scout's parents or adult leader rather than the individual Scout. The Counselor will in many instances, contact the attendees to remind them of class requirements.
- Once all of the Scout's information has been entered, click ADD, and that Scout will appear on the roster for your Troop.
- After all the Scouts have been entered, the unit leader should review the roster for accuracy. Make any changes necessary by clicking Edit for the selected Scout. Click Show and Print Roster, and print two (2) copies of the registration information screen from your browser window.
