Notice!!! Meritbadge.Info will switch to the new site with BSA validation Friday morning March 13th.
If you wish to start using this site today, click here to launch meritbadge.info/mbn2
Adults must enter their BSA Number, DOB, First and Last name as it appears on their BSA ID card. We will query BSA and get back an answer. At this point one of three things can happen:
1) Your registration is verified - you can continue using Meritbadge.info normally
2) You are not registered or your registration has lapsed - your prior rights are revoked and you get the read-only screens that you see before your login
3) You are registered but your YPT has expired - your prior rights are revoked and you get the read-only screens that you see before your login
You have had at least two months to get yourself registered and complete YPT training. If you feel your validation is not working, send us an email with the four data items listed and we will validate your entry.
We have no control over what is on file at BSA. If everything matches your BSA ID card, there should be no issues. If not, your validation will fail.
Why are we doing this?
1. To provide higher security and validation of all adult users.
2. To clean up the mess we've accumulated via 15 years of poor user data entry.
How will we do this?
What should you do?
Login to https://my.scouting.org/ and copy your BSA ID Number then update your profile on Meritbadge.info. Let others in your unit know they should do the same. We are giving you 2.5 months advanced notice to make this work.

Sponsor Information |
The Piedmont Council Training Team and the Eswau Huppeday Lodge #560 would like to cordially invite your troop to participate in the 2015 Merit Badge University on Saturday, February 21, 2015. The 2015 location for MBU will be at Gaston College in Dallas, NC.
MBU is an opportunity to learn from professionals and experts in a variety of fields. It is not intended to be an easy way to get a merit badge but rather a well-earned experience. Scout advancement works best when a scout learns, is tested, is reviewed and then is recognized. To earn a badge at MBU will require scouts to participate fully, and each scout must complete all requirements to earn a merit badge. Scouts who do not complete requirements at MBU will still have a chance to learn new skills and be on the way to completing the merit badge. Troops should make arrangements with MB counselors in their home area to complete any partials.
As leaders, you can help your Scouts be successful by registering them for appropriate badges. Younger scouts should be discouraged from pursuing advanced badges they may be unable to complete. Troop leaders should know the abilities of troop members and should spend the required time prior to MBU preparing each scout for his session. Most badges have prerequisites that must be accomplished before MBU day. Please make sure the boys do their homework. Stress to your scouts the importance of working hard in class and cooperating with counselors and classmates.
If you have any questions or would like to offer to teach a merit badge please contact us at mbu_team@yahoo.com

Description |
Register beginning Feburary 5th until Feburary 16th.
Merit Badges to be offered are subject to change based on MB Counselor availability and class minimums. Piedmont Council reserves the right to limit or cancel any class. NO WALK-INS will be allowed.
REGISTRATION: Registration by Troop is REQUIRED. Open enrollment will begin on the above stated date. Fees are non-refundable but can be transferred to another scout. MB Counselors require student e-mail or phone for coordination. Please note that by registering, you are reserving a seat in a class and are expected to pay and attend. If you must cancel, please do so as early as possible so that another Scout may take your place.
UNIFORM: The Full B.S.A. Class A uniform is the official uniform for the day. The merit badge sash may also be worn.
CODE OF CONDUCT: The Scout Oath, the Law, and the Outdoor Code shall be the code of the Merit Badge Day. A Scout whose conduct is not consistent with the code will be directed to leave the church grounds immediately. Adequate supervision must be provided by each participating unit. Discipline is the responsibility of the Scoutmaster or other assigned leaders in charge of the troop.
TRANSPORTATION: The troop Leaders must coordinate arrival and departure time for transportation. Troops need to make certain that they have adequate transportation for their Scouts. Please advise your parents NOT to drop or pick up scouts from the church. ALL transportation TO and FROM The Merit Badge Day must be arranged within your troop. Encourage everyone to carpool. Troops may not leave Scouts by themselves to be picked up by parents at a later time. We will not render sitting services.
CLEAN UP: The Scout is clean. Troop Leaders please coordinate with your troop to clean the premises and to keep the classrooms in the same condition as found. Future offerings of the Merit Badge Day will largely depend on how neat we leave the place. All garbage must be properly disposed into designated containers or carried out.
SECURITY: Because the public has access to the college, units will need to exercise their own vigilance. Report any incidents to the event organizers.
