Adults must enter their BSA Number, DOB, First and Last name as it appears on their BSA ID card. We will query BSA and get back an answer. At this point one of three things can happen: 1) Your registration is verified - you can continue using Meritbadge.info normally 2) You are not registered or your registration has lapsed - your prior rights are revoked and you get the read-only screens that you see before your login 3) You are registered but your YPT has expired - your prior rights are revoked and you get the read-only screens that you see before your login
You have had at least two months to get yourself registered and complete YPT training. If you feel your validation is not working, send us an email with the four data items listed and we will validate your entry.
We have no control over what is on file at BSA. If everything matches your BSA ID card, there should be no issues. If not, your validation will fail.
Why are we doing this? 1. To provide higher security and validation of all adult users. 2. To clean up the mess we've accumulated via 15 years of poor user data entry.
How will we do this?
What should you do? Login to https://my.scouting.org/ and copy your BSA ID Number then update your profile on Meritbadge.info. Let others in your unit know they should do the same. We are giving you 2.5 months advanced notice to make this work.

This class is taught but a Certified Executive Chef and will teach you tips and tricks to use not only in your home kitchen but all along the Scouting Trail!

Preparation is a MUST
Google Classroom – reviewing prior to attending and completing pre-course work will ensure that you receive the most out of the Online Class. The classroom is full of information and will help you successfully complete the badge. It provides solutions and gives direction on where to find the answers to earn this Merit Badge. You may also use online and other resources to complete the requirements where appropriate.
It is unacceptable to come unprepared. You may DOWNLOAD and COMPLETE the Fillable Merit Badge Workbook below to help you be organized and prepared. The use of any workbook for note-taking, reference, or the completion of the workbook does not warrant, guarantee, or confirm your completion of the merit badge requirements or the earning of the merit badge.
You can add me (Benjamin Whitmore, Troop 204B Mid-American Council) as your MB counselor on Scoutbook. This is the PREFERRED METHOD! Alternatively, you will need a blue card properly filled out and signed off by your Unit Leader. Note: If you are not able to get your Unit Leader's signature PRIOR you may still participate in the Online Course. I recommend that you notify your Unit Leader that you are taking the class.
