The Fourth Annual Winter Blast at the Academy will offer not only Merit Badges, but will present an opportunity for Youth in Scouting to go through classes and training to expand their knowledge and skill set in their Scouting Career. And if we do not have a Merit Badge your scouts would like to take if you let us know and can provide a councilor we will gladley add it.
Class A will be the uniform for the event.
Scouts are to abide by the Scout Oath and Law.
We ask that you respect the property of Pulaski Academy, so that they will invite us back for another year.
Adult leaders are responsible for their youth.
The Event will be broken into 2 sessions:
The morning session will be from 9:00-12:00
Then Lunch at 12
The Afternoon session will be from 1:00-4:00
We will then have an awesome get together/social from 4:00-5:00
Some Merit Badges and classes are all day classes and some are half day classes.
All Counselors are trained in the specific area he or she is teaching. Like all trainings, the counselors are teaching the skills and knowledge needed to complete the Merit Badge or get a better understanding of the specific training. The decision is always left to the Scoutmaster and Advancement Committee of your unit to decide whether or not the Scout has successfully completed all requirements and then their decision to sign off on a specific Merit Badge.
Each Scout will be responsible for bringing the Worksheets available online for the specific Merit Badges he is taking. This will be what he presents the Scoutmaster and Troop for Approval for his advancement.
Classes with prerequisites are not necessarily requirements that need to be done before the event. They are requirements that will not be completed at the event due to time or resource restrictions.
