Sponsor Information

All troops must have a least one adult on site at all times.  The troop's on site adult is responsible for monitoring their scouts.  In addition,the administration of medication and any additional assistance which may be required is the responsibility of the troop leadership.

Scouts - Lunch will be provided to all registered Scouts as it's included in the $25 fee.  Please let us know in advance if there are special dietary restrictions.  

     
Adults - We offer lunch to adults for $10.  To register ahead of time, you can follow the same process as registering a Scout for a class, however, select the Session - Lunch.  The system will add you to our lunch list and $10 fee.

Contest

3 different ways to win: 

    1 - The troop with the most scouts in attendance

    2 - The troop that traveled the farthest

    3 - The scout with the most merit badges.  Scouts need to bring their sash and check in at the table marked contest

Please, read this important section the night before the event for last minute updates.



Reminder:  It is strongly recommended that each Scout obtain and read the BSA merit badge pamphlet for their badge in its entirety prior to coming to class and be ready to discuss it.  Merit badge pamphlets are available at local Scout Shops and at www.scoutstuff.org.

  • Requirements 1, 2 & 6.  Be prepared to discuss these requirements.

  • Scout MUST have completed first aid requirements through 1st class. No exceptions.

  • Bring clothes suitable for working in a welding shop.  Long sleeve shirt preferred.  NO POLYESTER OR FLANNEL.  NO FLIP-FLOPS, SANDALS, CROCS OR SIMILAR SHOES.

Payment Instructions for the Unit

Payment:

The participation fee is $25 per Scout. Additional fees for materials are identified for designated classes. Troops are obligated to pay for the total number of Scouts registered. Leaders and Parents may pre-purchase a lunch for themselves online for $10 at the same time as you register the scout. Registration of the Scout includes their lunch. Registration is not complete and a spot in class is not confirmed until payment is completed. 

Refunds: The registration and materials fee is non-refundable. The amount paid will be forfeited if the Troop or Scout does not attend. However, Troops may substitute scouts as long as the total number and the Merit Badge doesn’t change.



Please print two copies of your registration form. Send one copy by email to troop457money.sfa@gmail.com. If paying by check please email a copy of the registration and/or include a copy with the check. Retain the other registration copy for your records. I also need your contact information to include an email address and a phone number if I have any questions.
