If you are having trouble registering scouts, carefully read the information on the help tab.
If you send an email that does not include the information we need to help you, it wastes time and will get promptly deleted.
Test drive the new site (in progress) at New Meritbadge.Info.Leave comments at our Facebook page.

Notice!!! Meritbadge.Info will switch to the new site with BSA validation Friday morning March 13th.

If you wish to start using this site today, click here to launch meritbadge.info/mbn2

Adults must enter their BSA Number, DOB, First and Last name as it appears on their BSA ID card. We will query BSA and get back an answer. At this point one of three things can happen:
1) Your registration is verified - you can continue using Meritbadge.info normally
2) You are not registered or your registration has lapsed - your prior rights are revoked and you get the read-only screens that you see before your login
3) You are registered but your YPT has expired - your prior rights are revoked and you get the read-only screens that you see before your login

You have had at least two months to get yourself registered and complete YPT training. If you feel your validation is not working, send us an email with the four data items listed and we will validate your entry.

We have no control over what is on file at BSA. If everything matches your BSA ID card, there should be no issues. If not, your validation will fail.

Why are we doing this?
1. To provide higher security and validation of all adult users.
2. To clean up the mess we've accumulated via 15 years of poor user data entry.

How will we do this?

What should you do?
Login to https://my.scouting.org/ and copy your BSA ID Number then update your profile on Meritbadge.info.  Let others in your unit know they should do the same.  We are giving you 2.5 months advanced notice to make this work.

Sponsor Information

The 4th Annual Quad Cities Merit Badge Clinic 2015 is hosted by Boy Scout Troop and Venturing Crew 312 of Colona, Illinois.

It is our intent to create an environment where Scouts have the opportunity to continue their advancement program and earn merit badges that may not be readily available elsewhere. It is not our intent to create a so-called "merit badge factory" that produces merit badges with minimal work from the Scouts. Scouts who come with that expectation will be disappointed at the end of the day. Merit badge courses are planned and presented by qualified adult counselors who are willing to take the time to share their knowledge with the Scouts.

To earn a badge at the QCMBC we require Scouts to participate fully, and each Scout must complete all requirements to earn a merit badge. Scouts who do not complete requirements at the QCMBC will still have a chance to learn new skills and be on the way to completing the merit badge. Troops should make arrangements with merit badge counselors in their home area to complete any partials.

As leaders, you can help your Scouts be successful by registering them for appropriate badges. Younger Scouts should be discouraged from pursuing advanced badges they may be unable to complete. Troop leaders should know the ablities of their troop members and should spend the required time prior to the QCMBC preparing each Scout for his session. Most badges have prerequisties that must be accomplished before the QCMBC day. Please make sure the Scouts do their homework. It is important that Scouts know the importance of working hard in class and cooperating with counselors and classmates. Scouts are only allowed to register for one Eagle required merit badge.

Description

Join us for an outstanding day of merit badge classes and learning. All Scouts local and beyond are invited to attend.

We offer a vast variety of hands-on quality merit badge classes. Each merit badge class is staffed with professional/expert instructors in the subject matter. The Merit Badge Counselor will give credit for completed requirements only. The Scout should complete all other requirements not covered in class, at his own pace with his own troop counselors. Class work will be followed by individual Scout projects and his ability to fullfill all requirements. Scouts are strongly encouraged to read the Merit Badge Booklet and finish all pre-requisites before attending the Merit Badge Clinic.

Material Needed: Scouts are expected to arrive prepared. Notebook and pencil or pen should be brought to the merit badge clinic. Scouts must request and receive Merit Badge Blue Cards from their Troop Advancement Committee or Scoutmaster in advance of the clinic. Scouts should bring their approved blue cards with them to the clinic. Merit Badge Blue Cards will NOT be handed out during the clinic. Please note classes that may offer two merit badges in one session. All pre-requisite items for each class. Any workbooks used in the classsrooms can be found at www.usscouts.org. And don't forget the Scouting spirit!

Dress Code: The BSA Class A uniform is the official uniform for the day.
