Adults must enter their BSA Number, DOB, First and Last name as it appears on their BSA ID card. We will query BSA and get back an answer. At this point one of three things can happen:
1) Your registration is verified - you can continue using Meritbadge.info normally
2) You are not registered or your registration has lapsed - your prior rights are revoked and you get the read-only screens that you see before your login
3) You are registered but your YPT has expired - your prior rights are revoked and you get the read-only screens that you see before your login

You have had at least two months to get yourself registered and complete YPT training. If you feel your validation is not working, send us an email with the four data items listed and we will validate your entry.

We have no control over what is on file at BSA. If everything matches your BSA ID card, there should be no issues. If not, your validation will fail.

Why are we doing this?
1. To provide higher security and validation of all adult users.
2. To clean up the mess we've accumulated via 15 years of poor user data entry.  

How will we do this? 

What should you do? 
Login to https://my.scouting.org/ and copy your BSA ID Number then update your profile on Meritbadge.info.  Let others in your unit know they should do the same.  We are giving you 2.5 months advanced notice to make this work.

American Legion posts sponsor more than 2,500 Scouting units across the country. This is natural for Legionnaires, who bring their service-learned skills and experiences as veterans to help build character and positive traits in our country's youth.



Eagle Scout Nomination Form

The American Legion Eagle Scout of the Year will receive a $10,000 scholarship. Three runner-up scholarship awards will be granted in the amount of $2,500 each. Each State winner will receive $1,000 Scholarship. The Eagle Scout must have earned his religious emblem in order to apply. Description

REGISTRATION:



Pre-registration is REQUIRED. Payment is due upon registration, see below for more information.  



UNIFORM: The Class "A", no sash,  is the uniform for the day.


CODE OF CONDUCT:

The Scout Oath and Scout Law shall be the code of the Merit Badge Day. A scout whose conduct in not consistent with the Oath and Law will be asked to leave.



LEAVE NO TRACE:

A Scout is clean. Future offerings of the merit badge at this facility will depend on how neat and clean the building is left.



BLUE CARDS and WORKBOOKS:

All scouts must bring a blue card SIGNED by their Scoutmaster to class. The blue card will be collected up by Mr. Colby at the beginning of the event. the Blue Card will be updated with the requirements completed in class and returned to the scout at the end of the event. It is the responsibility of the scout to obtain his Blue Card before leaving the leaving.

The Merit Badge Counselor for this event is MR. Sam Grinvalsky. 
The scout should have the blue card filled out prior to the event, A scout is prepared.



Things to remember to bring for this Merit Badge Class:

1. Merit Badge Blue Card properly filled out and signed off by your Scoutmaster

2. American Heritage Merit Badge Pamphlet

3. Scout Uniform

4. A Merit Badge Workbook for this merit badge printed out and preparation work filled in

5. Any additional supporting documentation or project work pertinent to this merit badge 

6. A positive Scouting focus and attitude




LUNCH:

Scouts may bring their own snacks and\or drinks, some snacks and Powerade will be provided.




ALLERGIES or OTHER MEDICAL CONDITIONS:

If your scout has any food or other medical condition that the merit badge counselor needs to be informed of, please contact Mr. Colby. This will be kept private.

Scout should have a signed Blue cards before the event. Blue cards will be returned upon completion of the event.
Unit Sign-up Instructions

In order to register for this class, you will need to register with the website. Please include your contact information such as phone number and email address in case we need to contact the scout if case of changes. YOU WILL NEED TO INCLUDE YOUR SCOUTS TROOP NUMBER. IF YOU FAIL TO INCLUDE THE TROOP NUMBER WHEN YOU REGISTER, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO REGISTER SO PLEASE READ CAREFULLY.


Parents and Scout leaders are welcome to stay and watch attend.
