Chris is a 37-year-old man who has a lifetime of experience in disability issues. While growing up in Atlanta, GA, he bonded with a close friend of the family who had Muscular Dystrophy. For 19 years, he watched the effects that the disease had on the human body of his best friend, as well as the family structure. After losing his friend, Chris knew that his vocation, or gifts, would always be tied to this community whose challenges he knew so well. This experience prompted him to work the MD telethons and summer camps for many years. He worked at three different companies doing accessibility modifications to vans and automobiles.

Chris worked at FODAC from 1993 to 1996, then was a rehabilitation specialist at Joan Glancy Hospital Rehabilitation Center. He returned to FODAC in November of 1999 and established two of FODAC’s newest programs, both of which have become income-producing activities. He has attended Georgia Perimeter and West Georgia College. Chris has served as President of the Stone Mountain Industrial Park Association and Vice President of the Dekalb Referral Group. He is a member of the Dekalb Chamber, the Atlanta Chamber, the Association of Fundraising Professionals, and the National Rehabilitation Association. Chris is also the Director of the Stone Mountain Park foundation for Park employees, Share It Forward.

Chris and his wife Laura are members of First Baptist Church of Atlanta. He has enjoyed serving in the Atlanta Passion Play over the past 16 years.
