Biography |
High School graduate of Louisburg High School; College graduate of NCSU with a Bachelor Science degree majoring in Technology Education and minor degree in Graphics Communication. I worked 9 years at Revlon, Inc. being a "jack of all trades" as a Line Assembler, Inventory Technician, Machine Operator and finally Group Leader. I am married and have two kids, a daughter and son. I am certified to teach grades 6-12 in Technology Education and PLTW Engineering Pathway.
I have been involved in Scouting for 6 yeasrs serving as Den leader, Asssistant Cub Master, and now Cub Master. |
Why I am qualified to teach Robotics |
Earning the Robotics merit badge requires a Scout to understand how robots move (actuators), sense the environment (sensors), and understand what to do (programming); he should demonstrate robot design in building a robot. You should help ensure that the Scout has sufficiently explored the field of robotics to understand what it is about, and to discover whether this may be a field of interest for him as a career. |
