Prerequisites for this Activity |
Here are the three requirements that require you to do something at home (or at least bring something from home). If you do these before the clinic you will be able to complete all the requirements by the end of our class.
- Complete an electrical home safety inspection of your home, using the checklist found in the Electricity merit badge pamphlet. (You will discuss this with your counselor.)
- Make a floor plan wiring diagram of the lights, switches, and outlets for a room in your home. Show which fuse or circuit breaker protects each one.
- Read an electric meter and, using your family's electric bill, determine the energy cost from the meter readings. (If you just bring along a copy of your electric bill, we can do this in class)
