Troop 508 is hosting a Merit Badge Event at Zebulon United Methodist Church. Morning and afternoon sessions are available for $10.00 each. Full day sessions are $20.00. Lunch is provided

The Blue Card will be updated with tasks completed in class and returned to Scout BEFORE they depart the classroom. It is the responsibility of the Scout to request and obtain his Blue Card.

PREREQUISITES: The Merit Badge Counselor will give credit for completed requirements ONLY. The Scout should complete all other requirements not covered in class, prior to class and with his own troop counselors. 

ADVANCEMENT RECORDS: After the merit badge event, if you have any questions about Scout advancement, please visit your "Unit Sign-Up" page and print the "Show & Print Roster."

EVENT SCHEDULE: 

Note:  Some classes will require a walking field trip. Permission slips will be sent with registration confirmation.
 
7:30 a.m.  Check-in begins. Please follow the signs and enter through the front of the building. Light breakfast/snack items will                    be available.
8:00 a.m.  Welcome and introduction of merit badge counselors 
8:25 a.m.  Each Counselor escorts his/her class to the designated classroom. 
8:30 a.m.  Morning session begins  
11:30, 12:00, 12:30 p.m. Lunch. Scouts staying for the afternoon session should not leave the church grounds. Scheduled                          lunch times will be provided.

Lunch: We are providing a lunch.  Leaders or parents who are staying are also welcome to lunch. 

12:00 p.m. 1/2 day Afternoon session begins. Please arrive 30 mins. early to register.

1:00 p.m.   Full day afternoon session begins. 

4:30 p.m.   Afternoon session ends. Scouts are released to adult leader or parent. Scouts should not leave without checking out with their afternoon session instructor.

Merit Badges to be offered are subject to change based on MB Counselor availability and class minimums. BSA Troop 508 reserves the right to limit or cancel any class.

REGISTRATION: Registration by Troop is preferred. Open enrollment will begin on the above stated date.  Fees are non-refundable. MB Counselors require student/parent/guardian e-mail or phone for coordination.  Please note that by registering, you are reserving a seat in a class and are expected to pay and attend.  If you must cancel, please do so as early as possible so that another Scout may take your place.

UNIFORM: B.S.A. Class A uniform is the official uniform for the day.

CODE OF CONDUCT: The Scout Oath, the Law, and the Outdoor Code shall be the code of the Merit Badge Day. A Scout whose conduct is not consistent with the code will be directed to leave the church grounds immediately. Adequate supervision must be provided by each participating unit. Discipline is the responsibility of the Scoutmaster or other assigned leaders in charge of the troop.

CLEAN UP: The Scout is clean. Troop Leaders please coordinate with your troop to clean the premises and to keep the classrooms in the same condition as found. Future offerings of the Merit Badge Events will largely depend on how neat we leave the place. All garbage must be properly disposed into designated containers or carried out.

SECURITY: Report any incidents to the event organizers.

ALL PAYMENTS MUST BE MADE BY CHECK - Please print two copies of your registration form. Send one copy with complete payment. Retain the other registration copy for your records.
