Adults must enter their BSA Number, DOB, First and Last name as it appears on their BSA ID card. We will query BSA and get back an answer. At this point one of three things can happen:
1) Your registration is verified - you can continue using Meritbadge.info normally
2) You are not registered or your registration has lapsed - your prior rights are revoked and you get the read-only screens that you see before your login
3) You are registered but your YPT has expired - your prior rights are revoked and you get the read-only screens that you see before your login

You have had at least two months to get yourself registered and complete YPT training. If you feel your validation is not working, send us an email with the four data items listed and we will validate your entry.

We have no control over what is on file at BSA. If everything matches your BSA ID card, there should be no issues. If not, your validation will fail.

Why are we doing this?
1. To provide higher security and validation of all adult users.
2. To clean up the mess we've accumulated via 15 years of poor user data entry.  

How will we do this? 

What should you do? 
Login to https://my.scouting.org/ and copy your BSA ID Number then update your profile on Meritbadge.info.  Let others in your unit know they should do the same.  We are giving you 2.5 months advanced notice to make this work.

Description
UT Martin Stem Merit Badge Workshop Hosted by UT Martin School of Engineering and Boy Scout Troop 11 Saturday, February 8th, 2020 UT Martin Campus Merit Badges that have confirmed so far. Registration will open up in November. Scouts will be able to take ONE merit badge. More details to come as finalized. Instructors are encouraged to do the merit badge but then add to the merit badge going into more detail than what is required.

Schedule:

8:00 Registration begins, University Center, Watkins Auditorium

8:40 Opening Ceremony

9:00 Classes Begin (Scouts will be taken to classrooms)

12:00 Lunch –Bring your own-Scouts taking Vet Med and Orienteering will eat their lunch in that classroom.

1:00 Classes Resume

3:30 Classes end (return to Watkins Auditorium for dismissal and pickup)





~~Leaders/Parents if you would kindly spread yourself out among the different classes so we can get our 2 deep adult leadership.   This will be the first year that we are COED and need to make sure we have male and female leaders spread out.   I also ask that you start the blue cards for the instructors.   That way all they have to do is sign them at the end.

Blue Cards will be provided.    Leaders please pick up cards and patches at the end of merit badge classes.   They will be brought to Watkins Auditorium to the registration table.    Once you have your troops blue cards, patches and scouts you may leave.    We do not have a closing ceremony.   Scouts will be brought back to Watkins Auditorium by Instructors/Leaders.

Uniforms.   Please ask Scouts to wear Class A uniform.

Lunch. Please bring your own lunch.   Food Court will be open but lines at Chic-fil-A tends to get hit with long lines.   Veterinarian Medicine will be eating in their rooms so lunch must be brought from home.



 Surveying, Fish & Wildlife Management, Orienteering, Veterinary Medicine, and Landscape Architecture will include time spent doing outdoor activities- Dress for the Field!

Nobody is better qualified than Weakley County Emergency Management Agency Director Ray Wiggington, to teach this Eagle-required badge. Learn from the folks who oversee emergencies on a daily basis! 

Engineering

Everything is more fun when you put it to use – even Math and Physics!  Join Dr. Greg Nail, UT Martin Professor of Engineering, in a hands-on exploration of the world of Engineering!

Medicine

Join Dr. Christy Stubblefield and other acclaimed members of the UT Martin Nursing faculty to explore the ins and outs of the medical profession!

Fish and Wildlife Management

Join the award-winning UT Martin Student Chapter of The Wildlife Society as they teach this exciting merit badge.

Chemistry 

Have an interest in chemical reactions?   Come and interact with the UTM  SMACS Club and Dr. Abigail Shelton

Orienteering 

Interested in learning how to read a map and have strong compass skills.   Come and learn with the UT Martin ROTC Skyhawk Battalion

Surveying 

Dr Sandy Mehlhorn and her students will have you out in the field learning how to survey.

Veterinary Medicine

Dr Clint Ary and fellow UT Martin Veterinary staff will teach this exciting merit badge on the farm at UT Martin.

Citizenship in the World

Join Dr. Dan McDonough on the exciting world of Citizenship in the World.   Dr McDonough is a History Professor on campus and Scouts and adults have highly enjoyed this merit badge class.

Landscape Architecture

Dr Wesley Totten will be teaching this rarely offered merit badge.   Come learn how comfort, shelter and security play a role in landscape.

Geology- Join Amanda Mayo and her fellow GeoClub members in this study about earth.
