IMPORTANT NOTICE ABOUT SIGNALING MERIT BADGE: National has approved it so boys can start working on it as a centennial patch which will only be offered for a short time. Prerequisites for Signaler 1) bring $10 to cover the material costs for building a blinker signal device 2) learn the Semaphore letters 3) Be able to send and receive the phrase.
Citz. In World Prerequisites: Must be 13 or First Class (or higher) Pay attention to the news; bring 3 articles related to world trade or current international events. Bring documentation (written report/printed article)for either 7a or 7b.
Chattahoochee Advance-a-Rama Spring 2010 There are more classes to be added as merit badge councilors confirm. Please keep checking back. Registration by troop only please. Troops will be charged for all spots reserved when registration closes. It is not fair that other boys miss out because spots are taken by people not attending.

Description |
Life to Eagle class will be in the morning starting at 9 AM. This class is FREE and no need to register. Come and ask those questions you have about Eagle projects and what is need to make the last leap to the Rank of Eagle.
Event Schedule: Check-in: 8:15 - 8:30 Classes: 8:30 - 12:00 Lunch: 12:00 - 1:00 Class: 1:00 – 4:00
Check-in (day of event) by Troop is required.
For those that want to purchase lunch, pack 574 will be providing lunch pizza or BBQ, drink and bag of chips for a cost of $5. Payment for the food is separate from the registration in all respects and payment for food will take place Saturday morning during registration. Tickets for lunch can be purchased at a separate table at check-in.
Uniform: The full B.S.A. Field Uniform (proper name for class A) is the official uniform of the day. The merit badge sash may also be worn.
Code of Conduct: The Scout Oath, the Scout Law and the Outdoor Code shall be the code of conduct for the AAR. A Scout whose conduct is not consistent with the code will be directed to leave the grounds immediately. Adequate supervision is the responsibility of each participating unit. Discipline is the responsibility of the Scout or the Troop On-site Contact.
Troop On-site Contact: Each Troop is required to designate at least one registered adult who is responsible for check-in and check-out for all Scouts from their Troop the day of the AAR. The Troop On-site Contact is required to register with the Registration Coordinator the day of the AAR. The Troop On-site Contact is also required to notify the Registration Coordinator if leaving the AAR during the period when classes are being conducted.
Transportation: Troop leaders must coordinate arrival and departure times as well as transportation to and from the AAR for their Troop. Troops may not leave Scouts alone for pick-up by parents at a later time.
Clean-up: The Scout is clean. We are the guests of the LDS Church let us make it a pleasant experience for everyone and Leave No Trace by keeping the premises and classrooms in the same condition as found. Future offerings of the AAR will depend on how neat we leave the grounds and our conduct. All garbage must be properly disposed in designated containers. Merit badge councilors will receive a list of boys attending your class at the beginning of the day. Please fill out clearly mark on the roster what requirements the boys completed or have not completed and return to Dennis Phillips or Greg Nelson before you leave. Walk-in registration will not be permitted.

Counselor Information |
Merit Badge Counselors you will get a roster of boys at the beginning of the class. Please fill in who attended and what requirements they passed off or have left. Include your contact information in case there is a question. Turn in the roster with what the boys have completed Before you leave to Dennis Phillips or Greg Nelson.
Units are responsible for paying for all boys that are registered for classes when registration closes. Registration closes two days before the event so everyone should know if they can make it or not.

Scout Email Address – Telephone Number: The on line registration system requests the email address and telephone number for Scouts participating in the AAR. This is intended to facilitate the Merit Badge Counselor providing information regarding prerequisites and material that will be covered in class to the Scouts prior to the AAR. In the spirit of B.S.A. Youth Protection guidelines, please provide an email address and/or telephone number for the Scout’s parents or adult leader rather than the individual Scout.
Walk-in registrations the day of the event will not be accepted. Although, if a boy can not make, it you may have another boy take his place.

Units may pay by mailing payment into the Jefferson office but be sure to label it is for the Chattahoochee May 8th advance-a-rama or at the event with check or exact change.
