Safety Afloat - Before a BSA group may engage in an excursion, expedition, or trip on the water (canoe, raft, sailboat, motorboat, rowboat, tube, or other craft), adult leaders for such activity must complete Safety Afloat Training, have a commitment card with them, and be dedicated to full compliance with all nine points of Safety Afloat.

Teaching climbing or rappelling requires a trained climbing instructor who meets the criteria under "qualified instructors" in Climb On Safely.

The third tier of Leave No Trace training is the Awareness Workshop. An Awareness Workshop is any formal Leave No Trace presentation that is one-day or less in length. These workshops are designed for Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Scouters and others interested in Leave No Trace skills and ethics.
