Notice!!! Meritbadge.Info will switch to the new site with BSA validation Friday morning March 13th.
If you wish to start using this site today, click here to launch meritbadge.info/mbn2
Adults must enter their BSA Number, DOB, First and Last name as it appears on their BSA ID card. We will query BSA and get back an answer. At this point one of three things can happen:
1) Your registration is verified - you can continue using Meritbadge.info normally
2) You are not registered or your registration has lapsed - your prior rights are revoked and you get the read-only screens that you see before your login
3) You are registered but your YPT has expired - your prior rights are revoked and you get the read-only screens that you see before your login
You have had at least two months to get yourself registered and complete YPT training. If you feel your validation is not working, send us an email with the four data items listed and we will validate your entry.
We have no control over what is on file at BSA. If everything matches your BSA ID card, there should be no issues. If not, your validation will fail.
Why are we doing this?
1. To provide higher security and validation of all adult users.
2. To clean up the mess we've accumulated via 15 years of poor user data entry.
How will we do this?
What should you do?
Login to https://my.scouting.org/ and copy your BSA ID Number then update your profile on Meritbadge.info. Let others in your unit know they should do the same. We are giving you 2.5 months advanced notice to make this work.

2018 CONCLAVE INFORMATION
FOR SCOUTS AND SCOUTMASTERS
**LOCATION CHANGE: New location is William Penn University**
1400 North E Street, Oskaloosa, on west side of Penn Activity Center Building
**REGISTER and PAY as a COMPLETE UNIT**
Merit Badges will continue to be added, as well as requirements not covered during the Conclave
**Make sure all adults have the same District listed even spelling. Last year, some adults had the old District, some the new District, and some misspelled. Each of these caused a different registration for that one Troop. So make sure all adult unit information is correct and matches.
The conclave is a great opportunity for Scouts to work on concentrated advancement toward Eagle and/or work toward earning at least one merit badge from more than 20 being offered. We set our standards high to make the Scouts’ experience as enjoyable as possible, by providing quality merit badge counselors from several communities. We want to make sure that the Scouts learn as much from the courses as possible.
Our focus is to give the Scouts access to highly trained professionals in the field of the merit badge topics, allowing them to draw from the counselors’ training and experience. This helps them in achieving a large portion of the requirements while at the conclave. There are some requirements that we just cannot do within our conclave setting. These are items that the Scout will either need to complete before coming as a prerequisite, or do on their own once they get home and their local Scoutmaster / counselor will need to approve.
BE PREPARED:
It is recommended that Scouts bring the Merit Badge Worksheets for the badge(s) they will work on at the Conclave for note taking and to show progree if not completed.
Scouts are to bring any and all of the reports, projects, “props” for demonstration, or any other requirements that have been completed beforehand as a prerequisite. Be prepared to present these to your counselor during your class.
We strongly suggest that all Scouts bring paper, pencil and the Merit Badge books for their classes from your troop’s library. The merit badge book should be read before attending the Conclave. This will help the Scout to finish the badge on the day of the class.
Bring any written approvals by parents or the Scoutmaster if needed.
In the case all merit badge requirements have not been met during the conclave, a sheet will be given to the Scout showing requirements not met. It is then the Scout’s responsibility to get this to his Scoutmaster to sign off on the remaining work for that merit badge.
CONDUCT AT WILLIAM PENN UNIVERSITY and CHURCH:
The conclave is held throughout William Penn University, the Central United Methodist Church and local businesses. Conduct yourselves properly. The church sanctuary is OFF LIMITS!
If you see a Scout doing something they shouldn’t be doing, even if they aren’t in your Troop, please correct them. If you see a Scout doing something right, please congratulate them.
FOOD/SNACKS:
Lunch will consist of walking taco or hot dog and chips, fruit, cookie, and a drink.
Additional snacks and drinks will be available for purchase throughout the day.
NO FOOD OR DRINK is allowed anywhere in the church besides the dining hall & lower hall.
