Cost of this event is $50 per Scout which includes Saturday lunch, dinner and Sunday breakfast, camping fee and materials. Adults are $10 per person. Friday night is optional, arrive after 6pm. There is an option to purchase Saturday breakfast for an additional $3 per person.
If all slots are not filled by the registration deadline, WALK-INS will be allowed for a fee of $55 per Scout.
Please be advised that in order to participate in this event, each unit is required to file a separate request for a Tour Permit with their local council. Additionally, participating units are required to meet BSA Standards of Youth Protection. The unit leaders attending this event should bring medical forms and emergency contact informatin for each Scout.
REGISTRATION:
Registration by unit is REQUIRED. It will be assumed that the registration of a Scout in a class will indicate the Scoutmaster’s approval for pursuing the merit badge. Open enrollment will begin on the above stated date. Fees are non-refundable but can be transferred to another scout. Merit Badge Counselors require student e-mail or phone number for coordination.
First Come, First Serve: Scouts are admitted to classes on a first come, first serve basis via the online registration system. There is no waiting list for any of the merit badge classes. Should you encounter a booked class, please monitor the website to see if space becomes available.
UNIFORM: Unit t-shirt is the official uniform for the weekend.
CODE OF CONDUCT: The Scout Oath, the Law, and the Outdoor Code shall be the code of the Merit Badge Camporee. A Scout whose conduct is not consistent with the code will be directed to leave the grounds immediately. Adequate supervision must be provided by each participating unit with a minimum of 2 adults per unit attending. Discipline is the responsibility of the Scoutmaster or other assigned leaders in charge of the unit.
TRANSPORTATION: The unit leaders must coordinate arrival and departure time for transportation. Units need to make certain that they have adequate transportation for their Scouts. Please advise your parents NOT to drop off or pick up Scouts from grounds. ALL transportation TO and FROM the Merit Badge Camporee must be arranged within your unit. Encourage everyone to carpool. Units may not leave Scouts by themselves to be picked up by parents at a later time.
MEALS: Saturday lunch and dinner will be provided, along with Sunday morning breakfast.
Saturday morning breakfast is optional for an additional fee of $3 per person.
CHECK IN: A unit leader should check in the entire unit (please no individual check ins). The unit leader will turn in the Scout’s blue card signed by their Scoutmaster. (one per each merit badge) The unit leader will be requested to leave his/her cell phone number for emergency contact purposes.
CLEAN UP: The Scout is clean. Unit leaders please coordinate with your unit to clean the premises and to keep the grounds in the same condition as found. Future offerings of the Merit Badge Camporee will largely depend on how neat we leave the place. All garbage must be properly disposed into designated containers or carried out.
