Adults must enter their BSA Number, DOB, First and Last name as it appears on their BSA ID card. We will query BSA and get back an answer. At this point one of three things can happen:
1) Your registration is verified - you can continue using Meritbadge.info normally
2) You are not registered or your registration has lapsed - your prior rights are revoked and you get the read-only screens that you see before your login
3) You are registered but your YPT has expired - your prior rights are revoked and you get the read-only screens that you see before your login

You have had at least two months to get yourself registered and complete YPT training. If you feel your validation is not working, send us an email with the four data items listed and we will validate your entry.

We have no control over what is on file at BSA. If everything matches your BSA ID card, there should be no issues. If not, your validation will fail.

Why are we doing this?
1. To provide higher security and validation of all adult users.
2. To clean up the mess we've accumulated via 15 years of poor user data entry.  

How will we do this? 

What should you do? 
Login to https://my.scouting.org/ and copy your BSA ID Number then update your profile on Meritbadge.info.  Let others in your unit know they should do the same.  We are giving you 2.5 months advanced notice to make this work.

The event is a collarboration with the Airport Operators' Council and the community.  

The Aviation Merit badge is one program being offerred to Boy Scouts and is limited to the first 20 youth that sign up.

Cost is $10 (cash only) to be paid at the BSA office by 4 May ( includes breakfast)

Additionally, family members and Cub Scouts are encouraged to attend this event and learn more about Aviation.
Description
This event Aviation Merit Badge is open to Boy Scouts and Merit Badge participants numbers are limited to 20 Scouts.

This activity is sponsored by the Airport Operators Council and the community.

Two or more scouts in the same unit will need to have an adult present during the merit badge class.

BSA Uniform Required for Aviation Merit Badge Youth.

Youth MUST/REQUIRED to have Aviation Flight Permission Form (signed) and turned in with ($10/cash only)activity fee at the BSA office by 4 May

Only youth should register for event.

Adult does NOT need to register for the Event.

 
Counselor Information
Unit Sign-up Instructions
Units are encouraged to sign up as a Troop.

Individuals can/are able to individually sign up and will need to create their own password/site. 

Only 20 slots/ youth will be able to earn the Aviation Merit Badge.

$10 (cash only) activity fee pays for Breakfast and materials.

Blue CARDs will NOT be available and should be organized/signed by the Troop

Download the Aviation Merit Badge Worksheet ( see event on MSC website) and bring to event with you.

Aviation Flight Permission Form MUST/REQUIRED(signed) and turned into BSA office by 4 May 2017

Adults do NOT need to sign up on Roster.
Payment Instructions for the Unit
Cost is $10 and is payable to the BSA office( cash only). Includes Breakfast.

Lunch will be no host (on your own)

Parental Flight Release Form ( signed)  Submitted to BSA office by 4 May 2017.

Scout must inform BSA office of their weight ( for flight planning)

Release Information

A release will be available ( online at MSC Website, see Merit Badge Day/ Aviation Day)  

Aviation Merit Badge participants will be able to participate in a flight

 Parental release ( signed) will be required ( download form from BSA Midnight Sun Council Website)
