Notice!!! Meritbadge.Info will switch to the new site with BSA validation Friday morning March 13th.
If you wish to start using this site today, click here to launch meritbadge.info/mbn2
Adults must enter their BSA Number, DOB, First and Last name as it appears on their BSA ID card. We will query BSA and get back an answer. At this point one of three things can happen:
1) Your registration is verified - you can continue using Meritbadge.info normally
2) You are not registered or your registration has lapsed - your prior rights are revoked and you get the read-only screens that you see before your login
3) You are registered but your YPT has expired - your prior rights are revoked and you get the read-only screens that you see before your login
You have had at least two months to get yourself registered and complete YPT training. If you feel your validation is not working, send us an email with the four data items listed and we will validate your entry.
We have no control over what is on file at BSA. If everything matches your BSA ID card, there should be no issues. If not, your validation will fail.
Why are we doing this?
1. To provide higher security and validation of all adult users.
2. To clean up the mess we've accumulated via 15 years of poor user data entry.
How will we do this?
What should you do?
Login to https://my.scouting.org/ and copy your BSA ID Number then update your profile on Meritbadge.info. Let others in your unit know they should do the same. We are giving you 2.5 months advanced notice to make this work.

Sponsor Information |
This is event is being graciously hosted by the Gwinnett County Parks and Recreation Department (GCPRD). They are the home of 50 parks. Many parks feature lovely views of woodlands, lakes, meadows, streams and gently rolling hills. The parks include several historic sites and museums to help you explore the past and enjoy Gwinnett County history. On an average day, the Community Recreation Centers are filled with a multitude of activities and events for infants to senior citizens.
Harbins Park is a 1960 acre park located in the Dacula area of Gwinnett County (# 42 on the map) ideal for this unique event. In partnership with GCPRD, all participants will be given an opportunity to practice Leave No Trace, Outdoor Ethics, the Outdoor Code, perform a Conservation Good Turn, as well as work on the World Conservation Award. |
Description |
Conservation and Scouting has been a part of the program for over 100 years. At this event we will have the opportunity to earn, learn, and practice conservation.
- World Conservation Award - Boy Scouts may work on one of the 5 merit badges for this award as well as complete a conservation project.
- Conservation Good Turn Award - All participants will have the opportunity to earn the Conservation Good Turn Award. Scouts and Scouters alike can earn this award
- Service hours that can be applied toward the scout's rank. Conservation service hours are now required for the Life Rank.
Want to learn more, then join in the fun and be prepared to learn about these and many other conservation related programs within Scouting as well as a few of the many resources available. |
Counselor Information |
We will be using the BSA merit badge blue card application for the merit badge classes. It is recommended that all MB Counselors take the MB Counselor specific training now available on my.scouting.org in the training center under the Boy Scout program section.
All adults present must provide a copy of their current youth protection training (YPT).
All MB Counselors must be currently registered for the merit badge being taught. |
Unit Sign-up Instructions |
Registration:
Each unit may register their scouts for this event on the meritbadge.info website.

Scouts must be able to participate in both the morning session (MB class) as well as the afternoon session (conservation project) to be eligible to register.
All participants (Youth and Adults) must complete a volunteer waiver form. These will be emaile to all paid participants prior to the event date.
All adults must provide a current copy of their youth protection training.
