If you are having trouble registering scouts, carefully read the information on the help tab.
If you send an email that does not include the information we need to help you, it wastes time and will get promptly deleted.
Test drive the new site (in progress) at New Meritbadge.Info.Leave comments at our Facebook page.

Notice!!! Meritbadge.Info will switch to the new site with BSA validation Friday morning March 13th.

If you wish to start using this site today, click here to launch meritbadge.info/mbn2

Adults must enter their BSA Number, DOB, First and Last name as it appears on their BSA ID card. We will query BSA and get back an answer. At this point one of three things can happen:
1) Your registration is verified - you can continue using Meritbadge.info normally
2) You are not registered or your registration has lapsed - your prior rights are revoked and you get the read-only screens that you see before your login
3) You are registered but your YPT has expired - your prior rights are revoked and you get the read-only screens that you see before your login

You have had at least two months to get yourself registered and complete YPT training. If you feel your validation is not working, send us an email with the four data items listed and we will validate your entry.

We have no control over what is on file at BSA. If everything matches your BSA ID card, there should be no issues. If not, your validation will fail.

Why are we doing this?
1. To provide higher security and validation of all adult users.
2. To clean up the mess we've accumulated via 15 years of poor user data entry.

How will we do this?

What should you do?
Login to https://my.scouting.org/ and copy your BSA ID Number then update your profile on Meritbadge.info.  Let others in your unit know they should do the same.  We are giving you 2.5 months advanced notice to make this work.

EVENT INFORMATION

PARTICIPANT EVENT WAIVER AND RELEASE FORM IS REQUIRED BY FAIRFIELD BAPTIST CHURCH.  Please note, the parent/guardian (21 years or older) are required to sign the waiver at check in.

You are a guest of Fairfield Baptist Church. There shall be NO littering, defacing or destruction of any structure. You and your Scouts behavior will determine whether or not we will do this event again.

Many Instructors will EMAIL class information prior to the Grizzly Day event. In the spirit of BSA Youth Protection guidelines, please provide an email address for the Scouts parents rather than the individual Scout.

CLASSROOM SETTING:

We offer hands-on quality Adventure or Elective classes. Each Adventure Class or Elective Class is staffed with professional/expert instructors in the subject matter.

RULES FOR PARTICIPATION:

1.) Each Scout must be accompanied with an adult, age 21 and over. This will help us with crowd control, as well as insure quality of results within the classroom environment.

2.) Scouts must have prior approval from their Bear Den Leader before attending.

3.) Scouts must behave in a Scout-like manner. Disruptive youth will be asked to leave the classroom with their parent for 10 minutes to regroup before they can come back in. If a 2nd disruption occurs, they will not be allowed to finish the class. No refunds will be issued for disruptive Scouts or adults.

RIGHT TO LIMIT OR CANCEL:

The Grizzly Day committee will reserve the right to limit or cancel any class.  Adventure Pins/Loops to be offered are subject to change based on Instructor availability and class minimums. NO WALK-INS will be allowed. Registration by PACK is REQUIRED. Open and ending enrollment will be limited to the dates above indicated.

FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE:

Scouts are admitted to classes on a first come, first serve basis via the online registration system. There is no waiting list for any of the Adventure Pins/Belt Loop classes. Should you encounter booked classes, please monitor this website in case seats become available.

EXPECTATION:

Scouts are strongly encouraged to read the Adventure Pins/Loops worksheets and finish all pre-requisites before attending the Grizzly Day event. They are also expected to provide the parents' email address for the Instructor/Merit Badge Counselor communication.

FIRST AID STATION:

The First Aid Station is available to all scouts and Leaders in the Scout House.

UNIFORM:

The Full B.S.A. Class A/Field Dress uniform is the official uniform for the day.

CODE OF CONDUCT:

The Scout Oath, the Law, and the Outdoor Code. A Scout whose conduct is not consistent with the code will be directed to leave the grounds immediately. Adequate supervision must be provided by each participating unit. Discipline is the responsibility of the parent.

TRANSPORTATION / PARKING:

The Parent must coordinate arrival and departure time for transportation. Packs need to make certain that they have adequate transportation for their Scouts. ALL transportation TO and FROM Grizzly Day event must be arranged within your pack. Encourage everyone to carpool. ADULTS MAY NOT LEAVE THEIR Scouts by themselves to be picked up by parents at a later time. We will not render sitting services.

CLEAN UP:

A Scout is clean. ADULTS, please coordinate with your SCOUTS to clean the premises and to keep the classrooms in the same condition as found. Future offerings of the Merit Badge University will largely depend on how neat we leave the place. All garbage must be properly disposed into designated containers or carried out.

SECURITY:

Because the public has access to the church, units will need to exercise their own vigilance. Report any incidents to the event organizers.

INSTRUCTOR/COUNSELOR INFORMATION:

All Scouts must bring to class the following:

Adventure Pins/Loops worksheets http://usscouts.org/usscouts/advance/cubscout/intro.asp and any pre-requisite work.

PREREQUISITES:

The Instructor/Merit Badge Counselor will give credit for completed requirements ONLY. The Scout should complete all other requirements not covered in class.  Class work will be followed by individual Scout’s projects and his ability to fulfill all requirements.

ADVANCEMENT RECORDS:

After the event, if you have any questions, please visit your unit "Scout Registration" page and "Print Advancement Results".  Direct contact regarding advancement should be forwarded to LaTonia Copeland, Asst. Cubmaster at latyvecopeland@yahoo.com.
