Southern Polytechnic State University is a four-year public institution: one of two special-purpose campuses with in the University System of Georgia. It offers programs in science- and technology-related fields including: architecture, computer science, engineering, engineering technology, mathematics, and technical communication.

Description |
Normally held in mid-March, Fall Day of Merit gives scouts an opportunity to work on Eagle-required and science-and-technology-related badges in classes taught by SPSU faculty and staff, and by experts from local technology companies.

REGISTRATION: Registration by Troop is REQUIRED. Open enrollment will begin on the above stated date. Fees are non-refundable but can be transferred to another scout. MB Counselors require student e-mail or phone for coordination. Please note that by registering, you are reserving a seat in a class and are expected to pay and attend. If you must cancel, please do so as early as possible so that another Scout may take your place. No walk-ins please.
LUNCH: PLEASE HAVE YOUR SCOUT BRING A SACK LUNCH. SPSU will provide a drink and a cookie. Lunch will be from 12:00pm to 12:40 pm.
UNIFORM: The Full B.S.A. Class A uniform is the official uniform for the day. The merit badge sash may also be worn, but not required.
CODE OF CONDUCT: The Scout Oath, the Law, and the Outdoor Code shall be the code of the Merit Badge Day. A Scout whose conduct is not consistent with the code will be directed to leave the school grounds immediately. Adequate supervision must be provided by each participating unit. Discipline is the responsibility of the Scoutmaster or other assigned leaders in charge of the troop. |

Registration (and Pick-Up at the end of the Event) will be at the Student Center -- the first building on your right as you arrive on campus via the East Main Entrance. For directions to the East Main Entrance . . .

From I-75 North, take exit 263 (Southern Poly/Roswell). Follow the ramp towards
Southern Poly. Merge onto South Marietta Parkway. Go through three traffic lights. Take
the East Main Entrance on the left which leads onto campus.
From I-75 South, take exit 263 (Southern Poly/South Marietta Parkway). Turn right
at the traffic light onto South Marietta Parkway. Go through two traffic lights. Take the
East Main Entrance on the left which leads onto campus.
From I-85 North, take I-285 West to I-75 North (Chattanooga/Marietta) and follow the
directions for I-75 North.
From I-85 South, take I-285 West to I-75 North (Chattanooga/Marietta) and follow
directions for I-75 North.
From I-20 East, take I-285 North to I-75 North (Chattanooga/Marietta) and follow
directions for I-75 North.
From I-20 West, take I-75N/I-85N Connector to I-75 North (Chattanooga/Marietta) and
follow directions for I-75 North.
