Adults must enter their BSA Number, DOB, First and Last name as it appears on their BSA ID card. We will query BSA and get back an answer. At this point one of three things can happen:
1) Your registration is verified - you can continue using Meritbadge.info normally
2) You are not registered or your registration has lapsed - your prior rights are revoked and you get the read-only screens that you see before your login
3) You are registered but your YPT has expired - your prior rights are revoked and you get the read-only screens that you see before your login

You have had at least two months to get yourself registered and complete YPT training. If you feel your validation is not working, send us an email with the four data items listed and we will validate your entry.

We have no control over what is on file at BSA. If everything matches your BSA ID card, there should be no issues. If not, your validation will fail.

Why are we doing this?
1. To provide higher security and validation of all adult users.
2. To clean up the mess we've accumulated via 15 years of poor user data entry.

Login to https://my.scouting.org/ and copy your BSA ID Number then update your profile on Meritbadge.info.  Let others in your unit know they should do the same.  We are giving you 2.5 months advanced notice to make this work.

Registration Begins at 9:00 am

Sessions begin at 10:00 am with last session ending at 3:00 pm

Cost for the event is $5 per scout if registered by 4/27/17.

Walk in registration will be $7 per scout.  Fees are due the day of the event.

Scouts will need to bring their signed blue cards & completed prerequisites before the day of the event.  Prerequisites can be found on the merit badge info website.  Scouts should fill out as much of the merit badge worksheet for each merit badge before the event to show your counselor..  Worksheets can be found at http://www.meritbadge.org/wiki/index.php/Merit_Badge_Worksheets

What is a midway?  This type of event is designed for a scout who is “midway” through a merit badge & is looking for a counselor to complete it with.  It’s also a great way for a scout who is attending summer camp to get prerequisites signed off on.  A merit badge CAN NOT be started & finished within an hour at this event.

Communications Read MB book. Do 1 and bring your notes. Do 3 and bring your written speech and the date/location/audience to which it was delivered. Do 5 and bring your report. Do 6 and have an adult who was present sign a paper that says you did it. Do 7 and bring it. Do 8 and bring date/location/script. Be prepared to present 2, 4, 9 to counselor.

Computers/Digital Technology DT MB Only. Read MB book. If possible, bring laptop/tablet/smartphone to demonstrate 5b-c, 6(any 3). Internet might not be available, have screen shots ready. We will have a laptop that you can demo 6a, 6b, 6d on, but bring printouts of 5b-c or any web pages in 6. Be prepared to discuss any or all other requirements. Scouts can sign up for no more than 5 merit badges.

~Scouts do not have to stay for the full event.  Once scouts have completed the merit badges of their choosing they can leave.
