FBLA Day of Merit is sponsored by the Future Business Leaders of America at North Forsyth High School.  NFHS is one of the top chapters in the state of Georgia.  FBLA members won 2nd place at the 2009 National Competition with "FBLA Day of Merit."

FBLA Day of Merit is an FBLA sponsored event and is not sponsored by any BSA unit, district, or council.

The clinics will be held at North Forsyth High School in the Business Education wing. FBLA teaching assistants in cooperation with local merit badge counselors will be working together to present high quality clinics that are interactive, engaging, and fun.

Counselors should check in with staff in room 815 by 7:30 a.m. for morning session and 12:00 p.m. if coming for afternoon session only.

Many classes have pre-requisites which must be done if you wish to complete the badge during the clinic. Unless indicated otherwise, all other requirements for the merit badges should be covered in class.

Note:  Some badges have increased fees to cover craft supplies and materials.

For all classes, Scouts are required to READ and BRING the merit badge book.

Blue cards or advancement records will be provided, but Scouts are encouraged to bring a blue card signed by the Scoutmaster.

EVENT SCHEDULE:

7:00 a.m. Check-in will start. Please follow the signs and enter through the front of the building.
7:45 a.m. Welcome and introduction of merit badge counselors
7:55 a.m. Each Counselor escorts his/her class to the designated classroom.
8:00 a.m. A.M. session begins.
12:00 p.m. A.M. session ends
12:00  p.m. Lunch. Scouts staying for the afternoon session should not leave campus.

Lunch: We are providing a lunch option this year. Lunch tickets must be purchased in advance for $6. Lunch includes 2 pieces of pizza, soda or water, chips, and dessert. Leaders or parents who are staying are also welcome to pre-purchase a lunch ticket. To sign up for lunch, please select “Food” in the activity list. Very limited lunch tickets will be available for purchase on May 8.

11:45 a.m. Registration for afternoon session only Scouts begins.
12:30 p.m. P.M. session begins.
4:30 p.m. P.M. Session ends. Scouts are released to adult leader or parent. Scouts should not leave without checking out with their P.M. session instructor.

Registration fee is $10 per Scout per session (some badges have increased fees for craft supplies). Scouts may register for a morning and an afternoon session or a morning session only or an afternoon session only. (Checks should be made payable to North Forsyth High School).

Fees are non-refundable but can be transferred to another Scout (please notify Mrs. Rush at sarush@hotmail.com to transfer registration prior to the event).

Payment should be received by May 1.

FBLA Day of Merit is the student organization's fundraiser for conferences and competitive events. A break during each session will be provided and refreshments will be available for purchase. Soda/water and snacks will be available for purchase during break times.

Scouts will assemble in the parking lot unless it is raining.
