Notice!!! Meritbadge.Info will switch to the new site with BSA validation Friday morning March 13th.
If you wish to start using this site today, click here to launch meritbadge.info/mbn2
Adults must enter their BSA Number, DOB, First and Last name as it appears on their BSA ID card. We will query BSA and get back an answer. At this point one of three things can happen:
1) Your registration is verified - you can continue using Meritbadge.info normally
2) You are not registered or your registration has lapsed - your prior rights are revoked and you get the read-only screens that you see before your login
3) You are registered but your YPT has expired - your prior rights are revoked and you get the read-only screens that you see before your login
You have had at least two months to get yourself registered and complete YPT training. If you feel your validation is not working, send us an email with the four data items listed and we will validate your entry.
We have no control over what is on file at BSA. If everything matches your BSA ID card, there should be no issues. If not, your validation will fail.
Why are we doing this?
1. To provide higher security and validation of all adult users.
2. To clean up the mess we've accumulated via 15 years of poor user data entry.
How will we do this?
What should you do?
Login to https://my.scouting.org/ and copy your BSA ID Number then update your profile on Meritbadge.info. Let others in your unit know they should do the same. We are giving you 2.5 months advanced notice to make this work.

Prerequisites should be completed to the extent possible. Any requirements that instruct you to "BRING", "COLLECT", "WRITE" OR "DISCUSS" should be brought with you neatly prepared and proofread for accuracy. Completion of merit badges is NOT GUARANTEED. Scouts that are not fully prepared may not complete the badge but can receive partial credit on blue cards for requirements that are completed.
UNIFORM: All scouts must wear Class A uniform.
MATERIALS NEEDED:
- Notebook and pencil or pen
- Merit badge blue cards signed by your Scoutmaster with your name, address and Troop number
- ALL prerequisite items for each class
- Merit badge book and worksheets for each course you are taking
- Scout spirit!
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Classes are limited in size to insure quality instruction. Early registration will avoid conflicts in scheduling. Please contact Michelle Lozier at Michelle_lozier@yahoo.com if you have any difficulties with registration.
For the safety and security of participants, scouts are not permitted to leave the facility during the day. All activities are conducted in accordance with BSA Youth Protection Guidelines. It is our intent to create an environment where the scouts have an opportunity to continue their advancement program and earn merit badges that may not be readily available elsewhere. It is NOT our intention to create a so-called "merit badge factory" that produces merit badges with minimal work required from the scouts. Scouts who come with that expectation will be disappointed at the end of the day. Merit badge courses are planned and presented by qualified adult counselors who are willing to take the time to share their knowledge with the scouts.
|
Counselor Information |
Each scout is responsible for bringing his own blue card (signed by his scoutmaster) to class. Please return blue card to scout upon completion of session; retain the "counselor record" for your personal files. It is the scout's responsibility to turn his blue cards in to his unit advancement chair to be recorded and awarded the merit badge.
Any approved volunteers that would like to help please contact Michelle Lozier at michelle_lozier@yahoo.com. 2nd adults are needed in each classroom. Thank you! |

Please note that we are offering one all-day merit badge this year (First Aid). If a scout chooses First Aid, he is only able to take that badge and no others during the day.

Each scout should also have a signed permission slip. Please have your scout bring this to the event; there are too many scouts to keep track of electronic copies. Please copy and paste the text below into a word document; unfortunately I cannot add attachments to the site.
