If you are having trouble registering scouts, carefully read the information on the help tab.
If you send an email that does not include the information we need to help you, it wastes time and will get promptly deleted.
Test drive the new site (in progress) at New Meritbadge.Info.Leave comments at our Facebook page.

Notice!!! Meritbadge.Info will switch to the new site with BSA validation Friday morning March 13th.

If you wish to start using this site today, click here to launch meritbadge.info/mbn2

Adults must enter their BSA Number, DOB, First and Last name as it appears on their BSA ID card. We will query BSA and get back an answer. At this point one of three things can happen:
1) Your registration is verified - you can continue using Meritbadge.info normally
2) You are not registered or your registration has lapsed - your prior rights are revoked and you get the read-only screens that you see before your login
3) You are registered but your YPT has expired - your prior rights are revoked and you get the read-only screens that you see before your login

You have had at least two months to get yourself registered and complete YPT training. If you feel your validation is not working, send us an email with the four data items listed and we will validate your entry.

We have no control over what is on file at BSA. If everything matches your BSA ID card, there should be no issues. If not, your validation will fail.

Why are we doing this?
1. To provide higher security and validation of all adult users.
2. To clean up the mess we've accumulated via 15 years of poor user data entry.

How will we do this?

What should you do?
Login to https://my.scouting.org/ and copy your BSA ID Number then update your profile on Meritbadge.info.  Let others in your unit know they should do the same.  We are giving you 2.5 months advanced notice to make this work.

Sponsor Information
We are excited to offer a Merit Badge Workshop for the troops in the Eagle Valley, Fort Clatsop, Tuality and Tillamook Districts!  What you see are the merit badges that we are currently offering and as we recruit more counselors we will add a few more sessions, so check back frequently to see what has been added.  Be sure to save-the-date in your family and troop calendars -> April 20th, 2019.  Doors will open at 7:30AM for checkin, a flag ceremony at 7:45AM and classes begin at 8:00AM.  We will be done at 2:30PM.
Description
Welcome to our Merit Badge Workshop.  We are committed to provide a variety of merit badges to help you along our way Eagle.  Our merit badge workshop is free and open to all Boy Scouts within the Eagle Valley, Fort Clatsop, Tuality and Tillamook Districts!  This is a "must do" event so put us on your calendar for April 20th, 2019!.  Check back often to see what merit badges are being added to our catalog.  If there is one that you’re particularly interested in and not provided please let us Doug Reynolds (fdreyno@gmail.com) know and we will see about adding it to this session or future planned sessions.
Counselor Information
Please record who is in attendance and what requirements that were completed by the young man.  Make sure you properly fill out the merit badge blue card for the young man to retain and take back to his unit when completed.
Unit Sign-up Instructions
Each merit badge is different.  Some can be completed at the Merit Badge Clinic.  Others will require projects outside of class and more than one session.  Counselors have provided a list of prerequisites on the registration page to aide in the best experience for their merit badge.  Please come prepared with paper, pencil, and a copy of the MB Requirements book for each merit badge on your schedule.  You will also need to get a signed blue card from your Scoutmaster for each merit badge.  Read your MB Pamphlet, wear your Scout uniform and come prepared to focus, learn, and have some fun!

Registration will be open through Tuesday April 16th, 2019.  Some sessions will fill up early so it is good to be prepared to log in on time with all of your Scouts information and their preferred merit badges.

The best place to find the current merit badges & requirements is this official BSA site: www.scouting.org/scoutsource/boyscouts/guideformeritbadgecounselors/introtomeritbadges.aspx

The purpose of this event was to provide advancement opportunities and serve young men in our districts.

Note:  You must be a register scouter to sign up youth from your unit - past experience has demonstrated that having the unit advancement committee member be the centeral contact for collecting and signing up youth for their unit.

Note:  On the registration page all the merit badges are tied to links to the online merit badge pamplet.  In addition it is a good idea to printout the worksheets from https://meritbadge.org/wiki/index.php/Merit_Badge_worksheets.

Payment Instructions for the Unit
This event is free to all Scouts. We do ask that Scouts bring cans or boxes of non-perishable food. These will be donated to local food banks and pantries.  May we suggest that you bring 5 items of non-parishable food that can be donated, though we are happy to receive whatever the scout families chose to give.
